The Media Advertising Sales Prospecting Associate is responsible for identifying and engaging new brand partners to expand AKC’s sponsorship portfolio. This role focuses on targeted outreach to at least 20 new-to-AKC brands, developing and presenting data-driven sales opportunities that align with current media advertising trends. The position requires strong knowledge of media advertising sales practices, including the ability to leverage recognized industry metrics and deliverables to support sales presentations. Additionally, this role contributes expertise on evolving advertising strategies, ensuring that AKC’s sales materials, presentations, and outreach approaches reflect best-in-class, go-to-market standards.
Duties include but not limited to:
1) Direct on an ongoing basis various sales efforts across & interacting with selling AKC advertising commitments as a unified sales approach, and presentations
2) Recognize sales strategy and the go-to-market assets for direct client outreach
3) Research and obtain AKC sales management approval across planning, execution of AKC-approved go-to-market sales strategy sales development
4) Create & activate against a verified advertising prospect pipeline with key updates weekly & innovation in sales approach
5) Discuss with AKC advertising sales team daily, weekly update meetings, sales prospect oversight & specific list of prospects
6) Foster cross-functional department collaboration to ensure AKC programs continue to be included within sales packages
7) Full understanding of the approved presentation process
8) Participate in AKC pricing metrics following marketplace investigation & competitive analysis
9) Develop a comprehensive & individualized marketing and research plan for clients
The salary for this position in New York City is $23.00/hr; however salary offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location.
This position is hybrid in our New York City office; we expect this position to be approximately 20 hrs. per week and end in December of 2026.
