Primary Responsibilities:
- Develops, maintains, and coordinates a comprehensive club athletics program, encompassing esports, recreational/social club sports, and competitive club sports
- Manages and coordinates evening, weekend, and special event esport and club sport activities and events to ensure quality experiences for all patrons
- Interview, hire, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate esport student staff and assist in the supervision of practicum, intern, and volunteer students
- Creates a comprehensive and diverse schedule of esport programming and oversees streaming and chat channels to engage participants and fans
- Coordinates practice times and schedules for competitive club athletics
- Advises and assists sport club coaches, activities, and budgets
- Oversight of the allocation and use of the club athletics budget
- Completes university processes to ensure timely reimbursements to students
- Advises and assists club leaders, to grow coaches from within each game or sport, and ensure seamless transition of new club leaders
- Ensures risk management and league compliance in all activities
- Oversight of club athletics and esport equipment
- Markets the programs to increase awareness and assist in the recruitment and retention of students, including coordinating a presence at university recruitment events and Show Me Days.
- Evaluate and revise as needed policy and procedures for programs to streamline processes and assist students in order to increase participation
- Communicates with area high school esports clubs and coordinates esports workshops and esport summer camp programming to assist in the recruitment of future Redhawks
- Responsible for the operations of department internal summer day camp (Redhawk Kids Camp)
- Assist with summer camps and conferences, special events, challenge course management, and departmental duties as assigned
Position Duties
- Bachelor’s degree. Consideration will be given to Fall 2025 graduates (a bachelor's degree must be awarded by December 2025).
- Experience with club sport and/or esport participation and management
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated marketing and promotional skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as a team player
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
