Job Description

Riceland Foods is looking for a Customer Service Specialist. We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to support our international export operations. This role is responsible for managing export accounts in Canada, Saudi Arabia, and other designated global markets. The ideal candidate will coordinate the full order-to-delivery process, provide timely and accurate responses to inquiries, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction throughout the export cycle.




Job Duties

    Manage export orders from entry through delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment.

    Coordinate with production services, logistics, and other internal teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

    Prepare and submit all necessary export documentation, including payment instructions and regulatory filings, to customers, banks, and government agencies.

    Act as the primary point of contact for international buyers and brokers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and facilitating seamless communication.

    Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies, including filing electronic export declarations and coordinating with regulatory bodies such as USDA and the State Plant Board.

    Provide clear instructions and documentation to freight forwarders, brokers, and customers to support smooth shipment processing.

    Support internal processes such as shipping and invoicing, handling credit/debit memos, return material authorizations (RMAs), and warehouse transfers.

    Maintain organized and compliant filing systems, including electronic records and audit documentation for export insurance and transactions.

    Analyze freight reports and provide insights or support to the assigned sales representatives.

    Offer cross-functional support by backing up other desks within the export department during absences or peak periods.

    Monitor and maintain inventory of office and shipping supplies.

    Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. 


  Education Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, preferred but not required, with 3-5 years experience preferred.
