ABOUT YOUR ROLE
The Director of Marketing must understand the Company's strategic mission and annual business plan and translate that understanding into plans that implement strategic marketing initiatives that support the growth of the Bank's brand while attracting new customers, retaining existing clients, and increasing market share. Further supports the strategic goals of the Bank by driving marketing content, communications and sales support across Retail and Commercial channels to ensure consistent messaging. This role defines and establishes line-of-business marketing strategies that define and elevates brand awareness through modern marketing campaigns that utilize all media channels to enhance the ROI of Bank marketing spends. Collaborates with internal stakeholders and external agency partners to generate and deliver clear and strategic messaging ensuring compliance across all marketing communications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO LIST
1. Strategic Leadership:
Develop and execute a comprehensive annual marketing plan that aligns with the Bank's overall strategic goals for growth and profitability. Conduct periodic market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and update/revise marketing strategies accordingly.
Collaborate with executive management and business unit leaders to develop marketing campaigns that are targeted to support the delivery of business objectives.
2. Brand Management:
Manage and enhance, as possible, the Bank's brand image, ensuring consistent and relevant message across all customer and media channels.
Collaborate, as needed, with Corporate Communications and the Foundation on internal and external communications, including press releases, public relations functions, and brand-building activities.
Serve as Bank relationship manager with external agencies and vendors for advertising, media relations, and promotional activities.
3. Innovation and Analytics:
Develop and manage the use of real time data analytics to understand evolving customer behavior, proactively identify actionable trends and opportunities to maximize engagement, conversion, and brand loyalty.
Ensure a culture of experimentation by leveraging A/B [Note: Not familiar with A/B testing. Is this AI?] testing and controlled pilots. Use analytics to evaluate new approaches, scale successes, and continually refine strategies based on empirical evidence.
4. Digital Marketing:
Oversee all digital marketing channels, including the Bank's website, search engine, online advertising, and social media strategy.
Manage content creation and email marketing campaigns to attract and engage target audiences.
Leverage the marketing automation platform to optimize campaigns and assist with personalizing customer experiences.
5. Financial Management:
Develop and manage the annual marketing budget, tracks the performance of marketing campaigns and works to ensure a maximized ROI on the marketing spend.
Present regular reports to executive management on marketing activities, results, and key metrics.
6. Compliance:
Ensure all marketing materials comply with financial industry regulations and internal standards and procedures.
7. Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit professional team members as needed and provide leadership, training, and guidance to the marketing team, fostering a creative and collaborative environment.
Supervise the marketing staff, managing their workflow, appraising performance, and supporting professional growth.

Ability to understand the Company's strategic goals and annual plan objectives and to develop marketing campaigns that support both within the context of the banking regulatory environment.
High degree of creativity, strategic thinking, prioritization and problem-solving.
Ability to collaborate with the executive team, business executives and support function management.
Demonstrated experience with budget management and vendor relationship management.
Must be reliable and maintain a high degree of flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities with minimal notice.
Strong understanding of market research, delivery platforms and advertising techniques including proficiency in digital marketing.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to attract, mentor and motivate a team.
