Manual Machinist


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating manual machine tools to produce precision parts and components, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to specifications. Key Responsibilities:

- Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools to produce metal parts according to technical drawings and specifications

- Set up and calibrate machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety procedures are followed

- Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments to ensure accuracy

- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machining requirements

- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on manual machinery to ensure optimal performance

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols

- Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to resolve machining issues and improve processes


Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Manual Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment

- Proficiency in operating manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machine tools

- Strong understanding of technical drawings, blueprints, and measurement tools

- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders

- Excellent attention to detail and precision in machining tasks

- Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in machine operation

- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machinery issues

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining is preferred
