SUMMARY The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with all aspects of the Burns project management process. The Senior Project Specialist will progressively assume greater responsibilities in order to manage mid- to larger-scale projects with moderate to high complexity from the conceptual design phase through to completion with little oversight. The individual will provide coordination and oversight for all project disciplines with regards to schedule, information needs, technical standards, design criteria, quality control, and project budget. The Senior Project Specialist will focus on developing project management skills and will delegate design tasks to early and mid-career engineering and design staff while coordinating overall project execution with senior engineering staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSBILITIES
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities. Under the oversight of a Project Manager, the Senior Project Specialist will provide project task oversight and guidance to CAD Operators, CAD Technicians, Designers, Co-Ops, Interns, Design Associates, and Engineering Associates, Engineers, Engineer II, Engineering Specialist, Engineering Specialist II, Senior Engineering Specialists, and Senior Engineers to ensure submitted work adheres to the Burns (and, when applicable, a client’s) discipline specific policies, procedures, and standards.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree (B.S.) Engineering Degree from a four-year college or university accredited engineering program. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A minimum of 10 years of progressive discipline specific engineering experience. |
