The Ecommerce Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintains growth and revenue in Ecommerce. The incumbent assures the accurate completion of E-Commerce procedures to achieve customer satisfaction. Responsible for the oversight of selecting and stocking, packing and shipping merchandise to fulfill internet orders.  Responsible for personnel management, Financial Performance and achieving budgeted goals.  The incumbent must develop the skills of their team and administer company policies and procedures under the general direction of the General Manager. 

  

· Responsible for generating and maintaining revenue growth in Ecommerce. 

· Manage the elements of e-Commerce production that affect the successful approving, photographing, listing, packing and/or shipping of orders  

· Establishes and maintains metrics for e-Commerce and provide frequent communication and feedback to team members and senior management to enhance quality and productivity. 

· Assures e-Commerce performance and behavioral standards are met.  

· Responsible for hiring, training and managing the performance evaluation process of the e-Commerce Associates.  

· Trains and coaches all associates in conjunction with company and department policies and procedures; assuring safety and corporate compliance. 

· Responsible for the efficient and timely fulfillment of all products shipped to customers on a daily basis. 

· Responsible for creating and maintaining documents to record sales and archive data.  

· Oversees customer service. 

· Resolves customer issues via the phone or email. 

· Maintains accurate inventory of supplies and coordinating the order of new supplies for the e-Commerce department. 

· Makes sure that all equipment used in order fulfillment is used in a safe, secure and productive manner and that Associates are sufficiently trained in the operation.  

· Maintains a complete understanding of current software systems used to pick, pack and ship cartons.  

· Provides coordination, evaluation, motivation and continuous process improvement of the e-Commerce operation and team members.  

· Monitors the department’s performance on eBay, Half, Amazon and Alibris. 

· Completes performance reviews and evaluate day-to-day performance of Associates.  

· Maintains associate work schedules in accordance with the requirements of the business.  

· Audits weekly UPS shipping invoices and manifests 

· Assists with the photography and listing of items online to be sold via eBay. 

· Other duties as assigned. 

  

Education/Experience 

· Bachelors Degree in retail management or similar concentration preferred. 

· Minimum of 2-3 years experience of ecommerce/on-line retail sales 

· Knowledge of retail merchandising and sales 

· preferred. 

· Knowledge of antiques, collectibles and high end designer goods. 

· Knowledge of SEO and SEM  

· Skilled with research and authentication of valuable goods.
