The Associate Materials Planner will be responsible for supporting the Production Control/Material Planning team with scheduling, tracking, and placement of material requirements to meet production goals and schedules.  

Responsibilities:
  • Supports the Material Planning Team with development of material purchase requisitions and manufacturing orders to support production operations
  • Performs variety of duties requiring basic knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Works with supply chain/purchasing (buyers) to track purchase requisitions and meet delivery schedules
  • With minimal oversight, creates manufacturing/work orders for release to the production floor
  • Understands and works with purchase orders, schedules, bill of materials, manufacturing/work orders and related MRP documentation
  • With minimal guidance, analyzes manufacturing data for completeness and works through shortages
  • Gathers and posts inventory data and prepares summaries of data as required
  • Monitors the integrity of Bills of Materials (BOM) and reports on inventory discrepancies
  • As directed, distributes material according to established procedures
  • Creates correspondence, reports, forms, serialization, and other related materials as required
  • Performs other duties as assigned at the direction of the Material Planning Manager

Qualifications:
  • 1 year of prior applicable experience
  • Some experience working with an MRP system (SAP, Costpoint, etc.)
  • Some experience working with or coordinating with a supply chain/logistics team
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office / Office 365 tool suite, specifically MS Excel

Desired Qualifications

  • Pursuing or has a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
  • Deltek Costpoint experience a plus
  • Prefer minimum of 3 months working with an MRP system and suplly chain or logistics team
  • Familiarity with system manufacturing (fabrication, assembly, testing) processes
