Role Overview

Responsible for implementing construction execution plans and procedures in coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered from initiation through completion in alignment with budget, schedule, and quality requirements. This includes overseeing day-to-day construction activities such as progress tracking, productivity, labor utilization, quality control, and safety compliance. You will lead and support on-site teams, coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure TFAs have the tools and knowledge needed to perform effectively. Additionally, you will monitor performance, track material and manpower usage, assist in securing permits, and collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment. The Manager, Construction Site Services, reports directly to the Senior Manager of Mechanical and Electrical Construction.

 

Key Responsibilities

·      Execute and oversee assigned construction projects in accordance with approved plans, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.

  • Lead on-site construction teams and assist, as needed, in outlining scope of work with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Provide guidance and ensure TFAs have the tools and knowledge needed to perform effectively.
  • Support the development and execution of the Project Construction Plan in collaboration with the Project Management Team, maintaining compliance with contract specifications.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, highlighting constraints or improvement opportunities to the Project Manager for resolution.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to confirm timely delivery of materials and equipment in alignment with erection and commissioning schedules.
  • Track and report construction progress, including material usage, manpower allocation, and equipment utilization, ensuring alignment with monthly plans.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating construction risks, working with internal teams to secure necessary permits and licenses.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for Technical Field Advisors (TFAs) in collaboration with Commercial Operations and Estimation team. Ensure estimates reflect project scope, schedule, and resource requirements while adhering to company standards and client expectations.
  • Support the selection and coordination of trade and general contractors, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.
  • Evaluate construction methods and strategies, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Review production progress and productivity reports, implementing cost control measures and preparing budget updates for senior management.
  • Actively contributes to team efforts to achieve departmental and organizational goals through collaboration and proactive engagement.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting mutual respect and teamwork across all levels.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering or Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university; a minimum of eight years related experience and/or training in Gas or Steam Turbine EPC projects, downstream and upstream projects and/or major EPC industrial projects.
  • Ten (10) hours of OSHA training/experience, recommended, but not required.
  • Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally (LATam/Mexico/Canada) up to 50%.
