Essential Job Duties
• Delivers English Curriculum aligned to our ELA Implementation • Attends and participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and other meetings as required. • Provides an appropriate educational program for each student. • Complies with Board policies, rules, regulations, and directives. • Plans curriculum, lessons, and High School programs and teaching methods. • Monitors students' progress in an inclusive learning environment. • Maintains regular contact with parents of students. • Evaluates student progress based on work output and observation, determines goals, objectives, and directions. • Prepares report cards, educational records, classroom observation records, and other forms. • Consults with other professionals and teaching staff regarding progress of students and related educational matters.
Knowledge Skills Abilities
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures. • Ability to follow oral or written work orders and to coordinate work with principal and others. • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently. • Ability to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups and utilize specific, jobrelated equipment. • Ability to problem solve. • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, the public, and staff members. • Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. • Ability to manage time and responsibilities, adapt to changing work priorities, communicate with diverse groups, maintaining confidentiality, meet deadlines and schedules. • Ability to set priorities, work as part of a team and work with and manage frequent interruptions. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student matters. • Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff. • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board policies. • Ability to schedule activities, meetings, and/or events, gather, collate, and/or classify data and use job-related equipment. • Skill in adhering to safety practices.
