Location: Newport News, VA (testing at Chester, VA site)

Pay: $36/hour

Duration: 2–3 months, with potential for extension

Current Need: 1 opening

Weld Test: Required (plate test and 6G pipe test; testing time is paid if candidate passes)

Responsibilities

Perform high-quality stick welding on a variety of materials, including carbon steel

Complete welds on pipe larger than 6 inches (6G position) in compliance with project standards

Read and interpret welding blueprints, schematics, and specifications

Ensure all work meets quality and safety requirements

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to maintain efficient workflow

Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order

Requirements

Proven stick welding experience in industrial settings

Ability to pass weld test at Chester site (plate test and 6G pipe test)

Strong attention to safety and quality standards

Previous industrial project experience a plus
