In this role, you'll:

•    Operate a variety of plant and heavy machinery (e.g. excavator, bobcat, rollers)
•    Perform manual labour and maintenance using powered and non-powered tools
•    Support daily operations and problem-solving with Team Leaders and Supervisors
•    Maintain a safe and injury-free workplace in line with WHS policies
•    Travel across the region and camp away from home (Mon–Fri) – up to 80% of the year
•    Work a 9-day fortnight with occasional weekend and overtime work

About you


We are looking for an experienced Plant Operator who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees. 

 Essential Tickets and Licence:


•    White Card 
•    Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license
•    Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed

 

Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment and Plant Operator Grade 2 level experience as well as an understanding of local road networks across the district is essential.

 

Experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, padfoot/smooth drum roller) as well as other related tickets, traffic Controller Card – or ability to gain within 3 months of employment.

 

Willing to work away from home – up to 80% of the year.

 

You will live within 100 km radius of the Hay works depot.
