Behavior Specialist
Are you ready to transform lives and champion positive change? Greystone is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Behavior Specialist to join our mission-driven team supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in residential settings.
What You’ll Do: As a Behavior Specialist, you’ll be the driving force behind individualized behavioral support. You’ll conduct assessments, design and implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), and empower staff through training and hands-on guidance. Your work will directly improve the quality of life for the individuals we serve—helping them thrive at home, in school, and in the community.
Work locations are in our residential settings located in Orange, Dutchess and Ulster counties. Every effort is made to group assignments by location.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
• Be a key member of an interdisciplinary team that values open communication and collaboration.
• Apply cutting-edge clinical practices to real-world challenges.
• Lead with compassion and creativity in a supportive, mission-focused environment.
• Enjoy a supportive group of peers led by a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst.
What We’re Looking For:
• A passionate professional with experience in behavioral health and developmental disabilities.
• Skilled in data analysis, crisis intervention, and positive behavioral supports.
• Comfortable training staff and collaborating with families, consultants, and care teams.
• Ready to grow—open to becoming a SCIP-R trainer and staying current with best practices.
Some flexibility in your availability is required - our Behavior Specialists work 2 later shifts (10am-6pm) each week to ensure optimal interaction with and observation of those we support.
