Southampton, Store Support Office

Join us as a Campaign & Advertising Executive and you’ll be a big part of this. 

 

Role Purpose: Leads the development and execution of all Regional and Local marketing campaigns for new stores, any reactive support, and the management of in-store radio. Works with the Campaign and Advertising Managers on the development of new B&Q and TradePoint national trading and brand campaigns, for use across Customer & Marketing, and on media planning and creative production across all paid advertising channels.

What's the job?:

Local Marketing
• Leading the development of all new campaign creative for the new store launch programme across B&Q and TradePoint. This includes all creative direction for wider marketing channels and all media planning and creative execution for paid advertising.
• Developing all follow-on campaigns for stores requiring further, reactive support.
• Managing the in-store radio programme, including vendor management and creative execution.


National campaign creative
• Leading the development of our B&Q and TradePoint trading campaigns, working alongside Customer Planning Managers to make sure its fit for purpose for all channels across Customer & Marketing.
• Working alongside the Campaign and Advertising Managers in large-scale brand campaign development (Ease, Prices Nailed, Responsible Business, For the Trade).

• Partnering with both Customer Planning and Commercial to make sure the campaigns meet both business and channel requirements.
• Managing our in-house studio and external creative agencies to develop campaign creative.
• Reporting on the effectiveness of our campaigns and optimisation plans for improvement.


National advertising execution
• Working alongside the Campaign and Advertising Managers in the media strategy and planning for our B&Q and TradePoint trading activity.
• Working on specific projects with the Campaign and Advertising Managers in the creative execution of our advertising campaigns across both brands.
• Reporting on the effectiveness of our advertising and our optimisation plans for improvement.


Financial reporting and budget management
• Lead on managing our Local and ISR budget 
• Support on managing our production budget 
• Support on managing our Trading media budget

  • Confident in managing and negotiating with external suppliers, including agencies.
  • Calm with the ability to ’hold their own’ in challenging situations.
  • Strong influencing skills, both with peers and senior stakeholders.
  • Great organisation, prioritisation, planning and project management.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and good communication skills.
  • Flexible with the ability to respond to change/ new challenges at pace.
  • Pro-active and able to work with limited supervision.
  • Proficient in managing financials and invoicing.
