THE ROLE
The Grade 7 Math Lead Teacher ensures scholars master key math standards through rigorous instruction, small-group support, and strong relationships that prepare students for advanced coursework.
THE PERSON
As the Grade 7 Math Lead Teacher, you will:
- Teach standards-aligned math lessons daily using the LEAP curriculum
- Use data to plan small groups and interventions
- Maintain high expectations for engagement and academic achievement
- Communicate progress to families with consistency and clarity
- Collaborate with instructional coaches and the middle grades team
- Track student data to drive instructional decisions
- Participate in professional learning and school-wide traditions
- Reinforce classroom systems for behavior and academic success
THE MUST HAVES
Prior Experience
- Experience teaching math in upper elementary or middle school
- Strong classroom management and data-driven instruction
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Middle grades math certification preferred
