Required
- Master's degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in teaching, school counseling, supervision, or administration in a related specialty.
- Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
- Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
- Administration and supervision PreK-12 endorsement.
- Knowledge of philosophy, goals, procedures, organization, and professional specialties of the program.
- Knowledge of public education organization and administrative requirements in specialty.
- Familiarity with applicable regulations, legislations, and policies
- Skill in teaching adult learners.
- Ability to manage and coordinate programs.
- Ability to effectively lead teams in multiple projects.
- Ability to supervise and evaluate personnel.
- Ability to establish and maintain a successful cooperative working relationship with appropriate school communities and school-based and central office staff.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, provide professional development, and/or present information to groups.
- Proficiency in the use of technology and data compilation, analysis, and reporting.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Major Duties/Essential Functions
- Creates, designs, and oversees the broad activities of PreK-12 curriculum integration management.
- Ensures that policies of the School Board are correctly interpreted and implemented into work activities of the section.
- Leads and guides professional development for staff on topics related to curriculum, instruction, assessment, and leadership.
- Applies current research related to educational best practices.
- Assists with the planning of short- and long-term objectives.
- Plays a key role in developing strategies for achieving the goals contained within the FCPS Strategic Plan and is accountable for outcomes.
- Directs the development of long-range program plans, budgets, staffing profiles, human resources management, and related strategies and procedures that ensure the program mission is accomplished.
- Oversees and participates in preparation of the operating budget for the department and office and establishes controls over expenditures by allocating and assigning resources, both physical and human.
- Prepares and or coordinates written and oral reports and analyses to identify and interpret trends or patterns in data sets that communicate key insights.
- Manages risk and matters of compliance related to local, state, and federal regulations, policies, and mandates.
- Provides consultation to Division personnel in response to both urgent and routine concerns.
- Represents the program, department, or the Division in negotiating or facilitating resolution regarding matters of significance such as student achievement and closing the achievement gap.
- Presents information and recommendations to senior management team or School Board.
- Develops and maintains working relationships with school, county, university, and outside agency personnel.
- Facilitates meetings with community groups or employee associations.
- Negotiates and/or manages contracts, grants, partnership agreements, and/or memoranda of understanding/agreements.
- Oversees the work of vendors or contractors.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned.
