Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher
The Structured Literacy Tutor will support the delivery of target reading instruction to students in grades 3-8 using a Structured Literacy Approach — a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling do not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia.
Experience
- Implement the principles of a structured literacy approach based on the science of reading.
- Structured Literacy (OG, Wilson, C-SLDS)
- Develop lesson plans in alignment with the structured literacy approach.
- Analyze student performance data and report on student progress.

Job Description: - Work with District Special Education Reading Liaison to provide high-quality instruction to students identified through the IEp process as requiring this level of intervention.
- Keep detailed data and progress monitoring for IEP goals and objectives.
- Conduct, analyze, and interpret student assessments
- Support structured literacy tutors with direct questions about instruction
- Maintain ongoing communication with students, parents, and faculty members, including providing quarterly progress reports
- Perform other duties consistent with the position of a Professional Tutor
