SUMMARY
Assist Purchasing Department with administrative duties. Enter new suppliers, compare quotes, confirm purchase order details, and ensure timely delivery of goods to meet business needs and control costs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist Buyers with purchasing items from online suppliers.
Process all internal Purchase Requisitions.
Contact suppliers to confirm due dates.
Initiate new supplier process as needed.
Resolve accounting discrepancies.
Obtain quotes for Estimating/Contracts Department.
Represent the company in a professional manner when interfacing with clients and suppliers and build positive and favorable client relationships.
Follow company purchasing policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.
Complete all records required by Procedures and Work Instructions.
Participate in Atec Continuous Improvement activities as appropriate.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Cooperate with Auditors. Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED and 0-2 plus years of purchasing or administrative experience.
