Duties
Instructs groups and individuals in daily and weekly ski programs, using a variety of teaching methods to effectively communicate to students who have a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Teaches children as well as adults.,Ensures proper safety procedures are followed at all times and that students learn in a safe environment. Responsible for ticket handling from groups of students and must maintain good internal control practices to keep track of tickets.,Assists with program registration, equipment issue, ski lift, and cleaning duties. Reports any problems to the Manager as soon as possible in order to maintain high quality service to the guest.,May be involved in designing, building and maintaining the snowboarding course, by building jumps and installing rails using hand tools. Works with the maintenance crew by coordinating the work to be done, ensures the course is safe for customers.,Ensures that proper safety procedures are followed at all times by customers and employees on the course. Must always maintain a positive attitude around and towards guests in order to project a positive image for Ski Area and all MWR programs.,Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must be an advanced skier/snowboarder with the ability to teach others. Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": Possess a minimum of six months ski and/or snowboarding experience.
