We have an immediate opening for a Systems Integration Engineer to be responsible for all aspects of integrating new offices for our clients. In this role, you will assess, quote, and deploy network, PC, and server equipment. You will travel to client sites and work on-site managing the office integration to completion. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and organized individual who thrives in both team and stand-alone situations and has well rounded knowledge of hardware software and networking. This is a hybrid role with some time spent working from home and at the client site.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assess site readiness and develop a plan for integration
  • Setup servers and VMs
  • Install various software packages
  • Setup firewalls and network equipment such as switches, access points, cameras
  • Oversee low voltage cabling crews
  • Some experience running and terminating Cat5/6 cables
  • Installation of computers, servers, etc.
  • Experience wall mounting TVs
  • Converting legacy software by either moving them to new servers or virtualizing them
  • Setting up new offices with all needed equipment (PCs, printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Work with PMs on creating Scopes of Work (SOW)
  • Assist other project team members as necessary
  • Work with vendors to integrate industry specialized equipment
  • Migrating existing computers to new network
  • Replacing existing computers and migrating data from old
  • Interface with our data center team on large projects
  • Upgrade systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Willing to travel nationally up to 75% of the time, including weekends
  • In-depth understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, IPSEC)
  • In-depth understanding of Active Directory and Group policies (creation and management)
  • Experienced in server installs (2016/2019/2022 Windows Servers)
  • Experience with with setting up and managing virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare)
  • Experience with Sonicwall firewalls
  • Cat5/6 cabling and termination
  • MS SQL experience a plus
  • Well versed with Terminal server farms and Published Applications Deployments
  • Experience in the Dental industry is highly valued!
