About the Department

EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position, 12-months

PRIMARY DUTY:

Northwest has embarked on a transformational initiative to implement the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM), Payroll, Finance, and Student platforms. These systems will modernize our administrative and academic operations and enhance the experience of faculty, staff, and students.

The Change Management Project Manager is responsible for developing and executing organizational change management strategies in partnership with a third-party implementation partner and plays a critical role in ensuring successful adoption of the Workday systems.

The Change Management Project Manager will work closely with leadership, functional/technical teams, and campus stakeholders to drive readiness, minimize resistance, and enable a smooth transition to Workday. Must be a strong communicator, highly organized, detailed-oriented, and able to operate with minimal oversight in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities and deadlines while ensuring stakeholders are engaged and business readiness objectives are achieved.

Position Duties

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Change Management Strategy

1. Develop and implement a change management framework to support the Workday program and other assigned projects.

2. Conduct stakeholder and impact analyses to identify areas of organizational risk and resistance.

3. Monitor adoption progress and recommend corrective actions to ensure project success.

Communications & Engagement

4. Design and manage a communication plan tailored to diverse campus audiences.

5. Serve as liaison between program leadership and faculty, staff, and student stakeholders.

6. Facilitate change champion networks across colleges, schools, departments, and administrative units.

Training & Readiness

7. Collaborate with steering team, workstream leads and subject matter experts to develop and deliver end-user training programs to drive awareness and adoption.

8. Lead readiness assessments, open forums, workshops, and demonstrations to prepare the Northwest community for Workday adoption.

9. Track and evaluate training effectiveness and user readiness.

Project & Program Management

10. Develop and manage project plans, deliverables, and timelines for change management activities.

11. Provide regular reports and presentations to governance bodies and executive sponsors.

12. Ensure alignment of organizational change activities with program milestones for Workday HCM, Finance, and Student implementations

13. Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Organizational Development or related field.

Experience:

· At least three years of progressively responsible experience in change management, organizational development, or project management.

· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.

· Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, with proven ability to influence without direct authority

Other Qualifications

WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; evening and weekend hours required as necessary

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in supervising shared student labor hours with the Administrative Specialist for the Vice President of Finance and Administration

EQUIPMENT/MATERIALS USED: Personal computer with appropriate software applications and with internet, networking and mainframe capabilities, copier, telephone with conferencing capabilities, and other office equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines; light lifting; normal range of hearing and vision.
