Position Summary

The Salesforce Developers key responsibilities are to architect, engineer, and develop solutions that enable our business. This role combines solution design with full‑stack platform development and administration to deliver secure, scalable capabilities across Sales, Service, and adjacent functions. Codes and develops components, customizations, or other solutions within an organization's Salesforce instance.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works as part of a development team to change or improve Salesforce functionality in support of business needs.
  • Develops and administers modules, dashboards, interfaces, reports, or access levels.
  • Conducts requirement analysis, documents technical specifications, and writes, reviews, and debugs code.
  • Configures custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, Lightning pages, and dynamic forms.
  • Builds and maintains Flows, Lightning App Builder components, and other automation in line with best practices.
  • Implements Manufacturing Cloud-specific features such as Sales Agreements, Opportunity Realization Measures, and Product Schedules.
  • Recommends product revisions or enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Solution Design & Architecture: translate business requirements into secure, scalable designs including data model, sharing/security model, automation, and integration patterns.
  • Application Development: build high‑quality solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Platform Events; create and maintain reusable services and components.
  • Integration & Data: design and maintain integrations using REST/SOAP APIs or middleware; manage data quality, migrations, and synchronization between systems. Works with the Implementation Partner to ensure integration projects are managed collaboratively and without overlap.
  • Reporting & Analytics: deliver robust reports and dashboards; implement row‑level security (RLS) and visibility rules; optimize performance and usability. Utilizes Einstein Discovery for predictive analytics and deeper insights. Provides leadership with actionable intelligence for forecasting and strategic planning.
  • DevOps & Quality: establish branching, code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD (e.g., Salesforce DevOps Center); manage environments and releases.
  • System Administration: manage users, profiles, permission sets, and platform health; plan for seasonal releases and feature adoption.
  • Working under the auspices of Teknor Apex Corporate Security, maintain security, sharing rules, and field-level security in line with data governance policies.
  • Training & Enablement: create documentation, playbooks, and user training for new capabilities. Serves as the first line of support for Salesforce issues, escalating to the Implementation Partner or Salesforce support when necessary.

 

Required Skills

  • Proficiency with Salesforce Lightning, Apex, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Strong understanding of security models, role hierarchy, sharing rules, and field‑level security.
  • Experience with integrations (APIs, middleware), data modeling, and data quality management.
  • Proficiency in reporting, dashboards, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices: version control (Git), code reviews, test coverage, and CI/CD.
  • Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to work cross‑functionally.

 

Experience and Education

  • Performs work under minimal supervision.
  • Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher‑level staff.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
  • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 4 to 6 years of experience.

Physical Requirements
