Job Title: Manager - Technology Procurement (Infrastructure)
Location: Bengaluru - Manyata Tech Park
Business & Team: The Group Procurement India team supports the Commbank Group to deliver leading practice procurement. Group Procurement manages all activities across the procurement lifecycle, namely:
- Requirements gathering & strategy – identify opportunities to add value to the business
- Execution & negotiation – establish the best commercial deals for CBA
- Implement & transition
Impact & contribution: The Category Manager Procurement is responsible for supporting and co-managing procurement activities across a designated portfolio, including operational support and sourcing activities. The scope includes but is not limited to procurement projects related to Infrastructure Tech Procurement and Business Resilience. Group Procurement (GP) team members are expected to perform all tasks in a manner consistent with CBA's Values, namely Courage, Care and Commitment. Within the Infrastructure Technology scope and business unit, the Category Manager manages activities including Stakeholder Relationship Management, Development of Procurement Strategies, Business Analytics, Sourcing Management, Contract & Supplier Management, and Risk & Compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities: You will be responsible for the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT Infrastructure Technology procurement projects. Key Responsibilities include:
Procurement Delivery & Category Planning-
- Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT Infrastructure categories, including software, SaaS, Cloud computing, Hardware, mainframes, storage and backup solutions.
- Deliver on agreed targets and objectives through the implementation of strategic or tactical procurement strategies/plans to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) while ensuring scalability and security.
- Develop effective performance management strategies across all sub-categories and major suppliers in line with the Supplier Governance Framework and in collaboration with the key business owners.
- Interact directly with the Infrastructure Technology stakeholders and business leaders from various business units in India and/or onshore location to develop, manage and execute the agreed integration and procurement strategies
Contracting & Legal-
- Lead contract negotiation, implementation, and compliance with Procurement lifecycle and banking regulations for all IT infrastructure procurement activities.
- Partner with IT leadership to align procurement with IT infrastructure roadmaps.
Risk Management-
- Demonstrate a full and comprehensive understanding of risk and risk processes
- Provide and deploy appropriate process and governance to address all aspects of risk
- Ensure that you, comply with Group policies and procedures and any relevant external legislative requirements
Stakeholder Engagement-
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including business unit leaders, and risk partners.
- Act as a trusted advisor on technology procurement matters, influencing decision-making and strategic direction.
Essential Skills:
- At least 10+ years’ direct and relevant experience in delivering end-to-end sourcing & technology category management
- Risk Mindset -All CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks.
- Deep understanding of sourcing and contracting for infrastructure technology products and services, including Software, SaaS, Cloud computing, Hardware, mainframes, storage solutions with Capability in procurement related risk management.
- Solid ability to manage and influence stakeholders and work collaboratively with customers and suppliers with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making ability with solid interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively, as one team.
- Ability to think laterally and develop new and innovative solutions to problems.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering.
