Job Description

Your Team:

Enterprise Platforms empowers our engineering teams with streamlined tools to accelerate the creation of solutions that align with Invesco's vision and drive business growth. Our mission is to provide a state-of-the-art internal developer platform that drives efficiency, scalability, and innovation. Our aspirations are to offer engineer-friendly platforms that effortlessly alleviate cognitive burdens rather than imposing them, fostering genuine desire for adoption and utilization.

Your Role:

As Enterprise Platforms continues to expand and take on new platforms, the demand for developing new features and providing ongoing support has significantly increased. This growing demand necessitates a dedicated Associate Manager who can effectively analyze technical data, facilitate collaboration with stakeholders and communicate effectively while leading a local team of software engineers to execute with excellence.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

· Analyzer complex technical data to support decision-making processes.

· Develop and maintain detailed project documentation, including technical reports and presentations.

· Work closely with engineering teams to identify technical requirements.

· Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders regularly.

· Assist in the planning and execution of engineering projects.

· Monitor project progress and perform risk assessments to develop mitigation strategies.

· Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement within the platform.

· Coordinate the implementation of upgrades or new systems to enhance performance.

· Provide ongoing support for platform systems, addressing any issues promptly.

· Diagnose and resolve system malfunctions, bugs, or other technical problems.

· Provide day-to-day support and guidance to a small team of software engineers, helping remove blockers and ensuring clarity of priorities.

· Facilitate regular 1:1s and team check-ins to foster career growth, engagement, and feedback.

· Collaborate with leaders and technical leads to align team goals with organizational objectives.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

· 5+ years of experience serving as technical analysts or in a similar role within a technology driven environment.

· At least 2+ years of leading teams (directly or indirectly) while advocating positive career progressions.

· Experience in internships or entry-level positions related to product management, project management,

or business analysis.

· Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and marketing professionals.

· Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies, including participation in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

· Experience in gathering and analyzing customer feedback to inform product decisions.

· Experience in coordinating projects, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of tasks.

· Understanding of basic product management concepts, including product lifecycle, roadmap development, and feature prioritization.

· Basic understanding of software development processes and technologies, even if not deeply technical.

· Knowledge of market research techniques and the ability to analyze market trends and user needs.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with stakeholders.

· Ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed product decisions.

Preferred Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

· Experience with cloud-based platforms (Snowflake and AWS are preferred)

· Knowledge of API management and CI/CD platforms are a plus

· Self-motivated team player who thrives in a collaborative environment

· Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop talent

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions

· Strong organizational skills and detail orientation

· An experienced agile development practitioner who can utilize tools such as Jira and Confluence

· Ability to properly influence others through discussion, collaboration and facts

· Ability to make fact-based decisions

· Ability to react positively under pressure to meet tight deadlines

· Ability to balance technical understanding with empathy and people-first thinking.

· Must have a strong sense of urgency and the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task assorted tasks daily.

Formal Education:

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related field of study or equivalent years of direct work experience.
