Summary
The Factory Focus Manager I leads the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. In this role, the Factory Focus Manager prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.
Position Responsibilities
- Leads and performs all work in a manner that is consistent with the company's quality system and manufacturing practices, which includes maintaining a clean and orderly production area at all times
- Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals
- Administers company policies that directly affect subordinate employees
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and policies to determine appropriate action
- Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups
- Works on issues where analysis of situation or data requires review of relevant factors
- Follows, promotes and enforces the company's safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures and assists with safety investigations and corrective actions related to safety hazards and/or incidents
- Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and support personnel
- Coordinates with other departments on planning and scheduling production runs, changeovers, preventative maintenance and work order assignments and other related activities. Demonstrates knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline is required or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 7 years' related experience, including participation in enterprise level engagements in lean manufacturing initiatives
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role

Physical Demands

- Sit, bend, stoop, climb, and stand for long periods of time in one place (Frequent)
- Ability to lift and move items of various sizes and shapes up to 50 lbs. (Frequent)
- Exposure to frequent movement of motorized equipment throughout production floor (Constant)
The salary range for this role is:
$97,680 - $138,600AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”).
