Safety Manager – Mulberry, FL

Road & Rail Services is seeking a Safety Manager to lead compliance and safety efforts at our industrial rail and bulk material handling operation in Mulberry, FL. This leadership role is vital to building and maintaining a strong safety culture that protects our people, supports our customers, and keeps us compliant with federal regulations.

A Day in the Life

As a Safety Manager, you'll be a visible leader in the field and in the office. Your mornings might start with a walk through the site, checking for hazards, talking with crews about their tasks, and making sure procedures are being followed. From there, you may lead a toolbox talk, review safety documentation, or work with supervisors to coach employees on best practices.

Throughout the day, you'll balance proactive safety leadership with regulatory compliance. That could mean conducting an inspection to meet OSHA or FRA requirements, reviewing contractor safety plans, or meeting with management and customers to share updates on safety performance. When incidents occur, you'll lead investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are taken.

You'll also play a key role in training. Some days you'll be in front of a group of new hires, guiding them through orientation. Other days you'll deliver targeted training sessions, update safety manuals, or develop hazard analyses to keep our people prepared and protected. Your work ensures not only compliance, but also that every employee has the knowledge and confidence to work safely.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant safety experience in railroad, construction, or other heavy outdoor industrial work (railroad preferred).
  • OSHA certifications required; MSHA certification a plus.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage crews, managers, corporate leaders, and customers.
  • Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
  • Analytical skills to identify trends, manage safety data, and drive continuous improvement.

Why You'll Like This Job

  • Monday–Friday schedule with some weekend coverage as needed.
  • Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) with company match.
  • A leadership role where your expertise directly impacts the safety of our people and the strength of our customer relationships.
  • Career growth opportunities within a company that values initiative and safety leadership.

If you're ready to take on a leadership role that makes a daily difference, join Road & Rail Services as our next Safety Manager.
