KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead the provision of Master Data for entities such as Customer, Product, and Single Source of Truth for transactional data, such as Sales Orders, in collaboration with IT and business teams.
• Analyze, organize, and transform raw data into scalable and efficient data systems, leveraging advanced data technologies, and developing robust data pipelines.
• Drive the creation of data designs, detailed data specifications, and architectural solutions, ensuring adherence to development standards and data security requirements.
• Collaborate with project team members in conducting structured technical and functional walkthroughs of specifications and data-related logic.
• Analyze complex functional requirements, evaluate options, and provide expert recommendations for meeting those requirements.
• Interact with customers to understand their problems and needs, provide training on existing data systems and procedures, and establish strong business relationships. Actively contribute to business integration and project efforts related to data needs.
• Provide technical leadership and expertise on large-scale, multi-resource projects, ensuring compliance with architectural standards, established SDLC methodologies, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Create and maintain SDLC documentation in compliance with architectural and documentation standards, including project plans and schedules, according to department standards and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations.
• Collaborate with IT personnel and business users to investigate and resolve complex data platform-related issues and coordinate work efforts (Production Support).
SCOPE & IMPACT:
Serve as a key member of Information Technologies, representing the department in strategic initiatives related to business processes and IT Systems. Provide expert consulting on the future direction of company initiatives. Act as a liaison between the business and IT, supporting initiatives that drive business effectiveness and productivity across the organization, including support functions (HR, Finance & Accounting, Supply Chain, Strategy, etc.), Retail Stores, Regional Distribution Centers, and Commercial; and other businesses such as Joybird and Casegoods.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing data-related solutions, including data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
• Expertise and extensive experience in the following is required: ETL Tools like Pentaho, Reporting Tools like Business Objects and Power BI
• Expertise in data systems technology and proficiency with computerized problem-solving tools.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Travel: Up to 10%.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience and knowledge in some of the following is desired: Domo, Snowflake, dbt, and HVR.
• Data related certification in the modern data stack tools including Snowflake, Power BI and Domo is a plus.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Mentoring of junior team members.
