How You Contribute to The Team
The Material Handler II is responsible for receiving raw materials and performing fulfillment of materials needed for front-end production.
- Operate forklift in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Maintain flow of raw materials to and from each work area on the front side of production.
- Ensure machine operators have correct raw materials loaded in cages.
- Maximize production output by anticipating and managing raw material replenishment.
- Unload, inspect, mark, tag, record and verify all inbound raw material shipments.
- Handle 2,000-pound coils with critical care and safety.
- Weigh and record scrap at the end of each shift from each machine.
What You Need to Succeed
- High school diploma or GED.
- Post-secondary education in manufacturing, business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of material handling experience.
- Experience with manufacturing processes, production scheduling and inventory management required.
- Ability to obtain forklift certification and demonstrate safe forklift driving.
- High level of attention to detail, organization, and follow-through skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Dependability and a willingness to learn.
Team members are paid weekly. The target hourly pay range is $23.75 - $27.75 depending on qualifications, experience, education, and other factors. A shift premium may be available depending upon shift and location.
