This is a high-impact role for a hunter-style sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and driving revenue growth.
As a Commercial Sales Rep, you will be the face of Lakeside Surfaces to general contractors, developers, OEMs, and commercial enterprises across Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, and beyond. Your focus will be on new business development. You will proactively seek bid opportunities, deepen partnerships with established players, and position Lakeside as the go-to choice for premium surfaces in the commercial market
● Develop and execute a territory plan to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence
● Identify and secure invitations to bid on high-value commercial projects
● Manage opportunities and activity through CRM tools
Client Relationship Development
● Build strong, trust-based relationships with general contractors, developers, and commercial accounts
● Represent Lakeside at industry events and networking functions
● Partner closely with the estimating team to deliver timely, competitive proposals
● Expand Lakeside’s footprint in high-potential markets including Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, and Lansing
● Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine strategy
● 3 to 5 years of sales experience in commercial construction, building materials, or related industries
● Proven track record in new business development and territory management
● Strong understanding of commercial construction sales cycles and decision-making structures
● CRM proficiency and excellent organizational skills
● Consultative and relationship-driven approach to sales● Excellent communicator with strong presentation skills
