 The Opportunity

 

We are looking for a hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our Stockland Forster team on a part time basis 3 days per week. This role is based on site Monday to Wednesday 6am – 2pm.

 

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a passion for garden and landscape maintenance, as you’ll be kept on your feet assisting across a variety of maintenance tasks within the centre, ensuring the continued comfort, safety and happiness of our customers, tenants and staff.

Your tasks will include:

 

  • Responsibility for the everyday maintenance and presentation of the Centre including general maintenance such as patch and paint, tiling, painting, and other works as requested
  • Daily upkeep of gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas including mowing, pruning, weeding, and irrigation
  • Timely and effective resolution of assigned tasks
  • Identifying faults and presentation issues and resolving them daily
  • Supporting processes and procedures related to the delivery of a safe, compliant, well-maintained and sustainable Centre
  • Building and maintaining great working relationships with tenants and contractors
  • Addressing maintenance issues such as changing light globes, locks, bollards, and attending to bathroom repairs

 

To be successful in this role you:

 

  • Have relevant maintenance/handyperson and or landscaping/groundskeeping experience, ideally with a trade or electrical background
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
  • Appreciate OH&S and legislative compliance and practices
  • Possess competent computer skills with basic understanding of MS Office suite
  • Hold a full clean driver’s licence
  • Be passionate and take pride in your work
  • Have good communication and people skills
