About the Role
You will deliver high quality, timely, accurate specialised blood sampling procedures following the department Endocrinology procedures and protocols book. You will educate patients on their conditions, medication management utilising group and 1:1 educations sessions.
- Registered Nurse Div 1 with hospital experience
- Intravenous cannulation experience
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow testing protocols
- Willingness to assist with the administrative duties associated with running the endocrine testing area.
Classifications for this position will range from YU11 ($102,278.80 per annum) pro rata
Your Contribution
- Undergraduate degree in general nursing, which meets the registration requirements of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Current practicing certificate
Additional requirements:
- Advanced clinical nursing skills
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Particularly the ability to respond professionally and appropriately as a representative of St. Vincent’s.
- The ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- The ability to work independently and prioritise tasks and manage timelines.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About Endocrinology & Diabetes Department
The Endocrine Testing Area is an independent role which forms part of the broader Endocrine & Diabetes Unit. The office is located on 4th Floor, Daly Wing. It is Co-located with Diabetes Education and Endocrine/Diabetes Research
