Role Description
- Linux Server Administration:
- Install, configure, and manage Linux servers (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Perform system updates, patches, and security configurations to ensure system stability and security.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis to resolve system problems.
- Storage Management:
- Manage and maintain storage solutions, including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
- Configure and optimize storage arrays, volumes, and file systems for performance and capacity.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity, and plan for future growth.
- System Security and Compliance:
- Implement security best practices for Linux servers and storage systems.
- Manage access controls, encryption, and security policies to protect data and systems.
- Respond to and resolve security incidents and vulnerabilities promptly.
- Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Configure and manage backup solutions for Linux servers and storage environments.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring the availability and integrity of data.
- Regularly test backup and recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Automation and Scripting:
- Develop scripts using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages to automate routine tasks.
- Implement automation tools to improve efficiency in system and storage management.
- Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
- Set up and maintain monitoring tools to track the performance and availability of Linux servers and storage systems.

- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

- At least 6-8 years of experience in Linux system administration and storage management.
