Additional Information: Show/Hide The Wabasha-Kellogg School District is seeking a qualified individual to fill a full-time custodian. The position is a 12-month position with daytime hours of approximately 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The position includes some Saturday shifts and weekend building check duties.
Duties:
General cleaning, inside maintenance, painting, moving furniture
Outside work, mowing, trimming, general maintenance of equipment
Outside maintenance, special project work and some heavy lifting
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in custodial, cleaning and general maintenance including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical, etc.
Experience with outside work including mowing, trimming, general maintenance of equipment, and other outdoor tasks
Class C Special Boiler License or Ability to Obtain License 6 months from Hire date and a desire to upgrade boiler license and other ongoing professional growth
Self-starter, motivated, and eager to finish tasks
Works well both independently and as a team member
Ability to problem solve, diagnose potential problems, and plan use of time effectively
Interacts well with community, staff, and students while providing friendly customer service
The rural district has an outstanding and supportive culture and is located within the bluffs of the Mississippi River Valley. The community supported a $16.2 million dollar referendum for facility improvements and renovations. Remodeling and construction began in June of 2025.
