STARTING RATE OF PAY/RANGE: | $22.74 - 26.81 (additional .25 cents per hour with a two year associates degree or higher) |

Job Summary:
Assists in the coordination of all Child Nutrition programs and services for the Forest Lake Area Schools with a focus on accounting/booking, clerical support, and computer hardware/software related to school food service. Assist the Food Service Supervisor in ensuring the efficient and economical operations are compliant through the following duties:
Duties And Responsibilities:
? Maintains a variety of standard and complex databases regarding student and employee data, program eligibility, and related information.
? Prepares a variety of financial documents, such as payroll, purchase orders, insufficient funds, and receipts, verifies the accuracy of these items, and submits to appropriate departments.
? Process purchase orders and invoices to submit for payment
? Assists in monitoring the department budget and revenue figures and prepares budget and revenue reports for staff, government programs, or by request.
? Processes free and reduced meal applications in accordance to policy and maintains appropriate files and documentation for government programs.
? Performs basic office duties, such as copying, filing, faxing, typing standard documents, greeting visitors, answering phone calls, sorting and distributing mail.
? Serves as department contact regarding program statistics, reports, and general questions.
? Submit monthly reports to the state to receive meal claim reimbursement.
? Processes special food requests, prepares catering bills, account transfers and record payment receipts.
? Ensures student data files from the district are imported correctly into the student nutrition software program.
? Sets up and configures network interface devices, new computers, and printers. Swaps out common hardware items such as cables, network interfaces, and external devices.
? Assist with the design and maintenance of the food service website.
? Troubleshoots problems with hardware and software and works with District IT/food service software vendors.
? Coordinates, trains, and supports staff with various hardware and software. Travels to school locations for onsite technology support as required.
? Attends conferences, training, and meetings as required by the Food and Nutrition Department.
? Performs other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
? Associate degree with a major in accounting, business administration, business management, database administration, nutrition, information technologies or related fields preferred. K-12 experience in school nutrition preferred.
Knowledge Required:
? Knowledgeable of all state and federal laws and regulations regarding student participation in federal meal programs.
? Technical training and/or demonstrated knowledge of hardware, software, and operating systems related to food service software programs.
? Recordkeeping, reporting and administrative requirements involved in managing programs/services.
? Administrative policies and procedures of the district.
Skills Required:
? Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.
? Effective and proactive communication and organizational skills
? Develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, other District staff, students, and members of the public.
? Able to effectively utilize technology to streamline work processes and data
? Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
? Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
