Hospice Nurse Educator

Location: Dobson, NC
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Hospice Nurse Educator to support our clinical team through new hire orientation, ongoing training, and professional development. This role ensures staff are confident, competent, and prepared to deliver the highest quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new hire orientation for nurses and CNAs.
• Deliver organization-wide training, annual competencies, and refresher courses.
• Develop education materials aligned with regulations and best practices.
• Partner with leaders to address knowledge gaps with targeted training.
• Support compliance, safety, and quality initiatives through education.
• Coach and mentor staff to strengthen confidence and clinical performance.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC (multistate preferred).
• BSN required; CHPN preferred.
• 3–5 years nursing experience (hospice or home health preferred).
• Experience in education, orientation, or compliance training.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
