Position Summary
Scaletta Armoring is a 90-person manufacturing company located in Bedford Park. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, experienced person to manage core accounting and payroll functions including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, employee payroll, and vendor payments. This position also supports administrative tasks such as preparing manufacturer certificates of origin, coordinating tax and credit card payments, and working closely with Human Resources on payroll and benefits matters.
Key Responsibilities
Perform full-cycle bookkeeping and monthly bank reconciliations
Process payroll using ADP Workforce Now
Perform all account payable functions and ensure timely vendor payments
Perform all accounts receivable functions and ensure prompt collection
Prepare and post journal entries for assets, liabilities, and other account transactions
Monitor accounting records to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adequate supporting documentation
Assist in monthly end and yearly end close by providing applicable reports
Help maintain the general ledger, chart of accounts, and accounting filing system
Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations
Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to accounting procedures and reporting
Coordinate tax payments, credit card reconciliations, and certificates of origin
Collaborate with HR to resolve payroll and benefit-related issues
Maintain strong internal controls over accounting operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
Experience using Sage accounting software
Experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll processing
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
