Position: Brokerage Intern - Junior Sales Associate / Prospector

Description: SVN | Second Story Real Estate Management is seeking a motivated sales enthusiast to join our commercial brokerage team as an intern Junior Sales Associate / Prospector. This position will focus on identifying, sourcing, and qualifying new opportunities for leasing, sales, and investment transactions for our commercial real estate team. This role is critical to building and maintaining a strong pipeline of leads that fuel business growth for SVN and its clients.

This is a great opportunity to learn about commercial real estate sales, and the ins and outs of the industry. Our hope is that our interns will turn into a full-time Commercial Real Estate Advisor with our team. A desire to obtain your real estate license is required!

Responsibilities: In this role, you will work alongside our high performing brokerage Advisors assisting with the following tasks:

Lead Generation & Research:

  • Identify property owners, tenants, and investors through market research, databases, cold calls, networking, and canvassing
  • Gather intelligence on upcoming developments, lease expirations, and business relocations
  • Maintain accurate and updated records of prospects in the CRM system

Outreach & Relationship Building:

  • Conduct cold calls, email campaigns, and in-person canvassing to introduce the firm’s services
  • Set appointments and qualify prospects for senior brokers/agents
  • Build long-term relationships with property owners, tenants, and decision-makers.

Market Knowledge:

  • Monitor market trends, new construction, and competitive activity
  • Prepare preliminary market data and opportunity reports for brokers

    Collaboration:
  • Work closely with brokers and agents to transition qualified leads
  • Support the team by scheduling meetings, preparing property summaries, and following up with prospects.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and follow up
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and able to handle rejection
  • A desire to learn the commercial real estate industry
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to learn new software
  • If the position turns into a full time role, candidate will be required to get a TN real estate license
  • Physical requirements: must be able to report in person to the office, take phone calls as needed and operate a computer

Performance Metrics:

  • Number of qualified leads generated weekly/monthly
  • Volume of outbound calls, emails, and canvassing activity
  • Pipeline growth and conversion of leads to transactions

Compensation Details:

  • Hourly part-time position
  • 8-12 hours per week
  • A desire to obtain your real estate license is required!
  • Opportunity to grow with brokerage team
