The Albany Campus of Bryant & Stratton College is accepting applications for a full time Learning Center Coordinator.
Position Summary:
The Learning Center Coordinator is responsible for, the management and coordination of the Learning Center. This includes, recruitment of tutors, hiring, training, coordinating and setting up study groups and faculty learning hours. All student testing with entrance, placement, and proficiency testing administration The LCC will have the responsibility of being the liaison between students, faculty, administration, advisors, tutors and testers to ensure successful student outcomes. This person will also oversee that the center is in compliance with the Bryant & Stratton College policies and procedures.
Essential Job Function and Responsibilities:
- Lead Proctor for all required entrance and proficiency tests for all programs, including Accuplacer and TEAS, and record results.
- Daily Announcement to team outlining next day testing locations, time, participants
- Order and maintain TEAS tests inventory
- Coordinate testing schedule with admissions and faculty and ensure backup personnel as needed.
- Coordinate testing room set up.
- Provide data entry of testing results and generate reports reflecting testing results and trends using Banner, Excel, and other software.
- Recruit, hire, train tutors, set up faculty skills assistance, tutoring, scheduling, and subject area focus groups.
- Provide support to faculty and administration in developing classroom and Skills Assistant strategies the address learning disabilities and other special needs.
- Coordinate student Library Resources and work closely with Systems Librarian.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Competencies Required:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- College admission testing experience helpful
- Exceptional customer service and ability to solve problems required
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and comfort with learning new systems
- Experience with Banner or other related student information systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, identify and report on trends, maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and build and promote strong relationships with students, faculty, and associates in all departments
- Ability to meet multiple demands in a fast-paced environment
NON-EXEMPT POSITIONS:
SALARY:
$43,000 - $45,000 ($20.67 - $21.63 per hour)
This position is eligible for overtime.
