The Sr. Manager - Strategic Accounts Role
This position is responsible for managing a team of Strategic Account Managers and other teams that support the business unit. The role also includes the development, maintenance, and implementation of NSK sales with key strategic and target OEM and Aftermarket customers. The primary OEM focus areas are construction equipment, medical, automation, electric powertrain, electrical, and transportation. The primary Aftermarket focus areas are pulp & paper, primary metals, wind, mining, and cement industries, with additional account responsibilities expected. This position also includes coordinating activities among NSK, OEMs, end users, distributors (when applicable), and outside contractors to create an interdependent, multi-level partnership throughout the strategic account’s organization.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and develops end-user acceptance of NSK products and services with large end-users and select OEM's in a defined market.
- Develops and understands large End User's for the OEM products and help drive specifications back through to OEM level.
- Support the execution of formal agreements including terms, specifications, commercial incentives, deliverables, and measurables.
- Develop, maintain, and support relationships with key OEM and end user personnel.
- Develop a strong relationship with all financial, technical, sales & marketing, purchasing, and reliability teams and understand the strategic direction for each.
- Responsible for the collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of all economic, industry, market, and competitive product data.
- Coordinate activity with NSK and distributor personnel at all end user account manufacturing locations.
- Create an executive level monthly account summary and business review for internal and external consumption.
- Coordinate with NSK, OEM, distributor, and end user for inventory support.
- Coordination with Segment Manager & BCLD for inventory support.
- Serves on teams to develop defined market sales. May involve leadership responsibility.
- Maintains database for key performance indicators, training, visits, cost savings, contract utilization, etc., by location.
- Create a standard for Territory Manager reporting.
- Gain deeper penetration to understand issues at every level and rectify with executable solutions.
- This role will manage larger NSK customer accounts and/or a larger volume of accounts than a Strategic Accounts Manger role would manage.
- Responsibility in managing a team of people.
Qualifications
- This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of sales, and preferably strategic account experience.
