Purpose: The Deposit Services Specialist I is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of deposit account requests while supporting core Deposit Servicing functions. This role evaluates and processes account-level changes, monitors transactions, researches discrepancies, and ensures compliance with banking policies and procedures. The Specialist also provides customer support and assists in key operational workflows.
Essential Functions:
- Process customer and account data changes into the bank’s core and ancillary systems while ensuring accuracy and completeness. This includes but is not limited to account level transactions, changes, closures, and monitoring.
- Manage a high volume of requests from various mediums with the appropriate prioritization.
- Review and completion of research and adjustments
- Provide support to the Retail Bank staff and Customer Contact Center, responding to inquiries about deposit operations and account adjustments.
- Process daily transactions and reconciliations as needed
- Support other Deposit Operations functions as needed
- Assist in departmental projects and workflow optimization to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance.
- Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.
Job Related Qualifications:
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1+ years in data entry, customer service, or banking operations
Competencies:
- Strong keying skills with a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Dependable in meeting attendance requirements and schedules established for the department.
- Responds to requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications and adaptable to new banking software systems.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
- Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.
