The Measurement Technician is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing measurement equipment to ensure accurate data collection in support of operations. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to work route-based assignments independently, and a commitment to safety standards. Candidates must be detail-oriented, capable of adapting to changing field conditions, and willing to work overtime and on-call as needed.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine fieldwork including gas meter calibrations, orifice plate inspections, LACT proving, and third-party witnessing.
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair measurement equipment such as ABB Totalflow, Fisher ROC EFMs, Emerson 4088B, Coriolis Meters, Ultrasonic Meters, and Turbine Meters.
- Obtain and transport samples for gas quality testing and analysis.
- Coordinate and witness third-party calibrations of measurement devices.
- Complete administrative tasks such as maintaining calibration records, coordinating calibration schedules, and preparing reports.
- Ensure all tasks comply with ExxonMobil safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Safely traverse oilfield lease roads and facilities while working in hot, cold, or adverse weather conditions.
- Prior experience with gas measurement equipment, calibrations, and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to adapt to new technologies and equipment.
- General knowledge of production equipment and process flow.
- Knowledge of Bureau of Land Management (BLM) regulations preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently or within a team.
- Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
