We are seeking a Senior Pre-sales Solutions Architect for our Observability team, based in Sydney. In this role, you will drive the success of Splunk’s Observability solutions across NSW and the ANZ region, serving as a technical expert and trusted advisor for offerings including Splunk Observability Cloud, Splunk IT Service Intelligence, and Splunk AppDynamics. You will work closely with customers and account teams to deliver high-impact solutions, guiding strategic sales initiatives and helping customers realise the value of observability. With exciting advances in Cisco and Observability AI, you will be at the forefront of bringing Observability to AI, and AI to Observability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical discovery, qualification, and tailored product demonstrations.
Guide customers through trials, proof of concepts, and observability adoption.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to share insights and improve solutions.
Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from technical teams to executives.
Your Experience
At least 5 years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
Prior experience with observability solutions (APM, distributed tracing, metrics, etc).
Strong background in application development and software delivery practices (e.g. CI/CD pipelines, automation, version control).
Solid understanding of modern IT systems and architectures, including cloud-native, microservices, Kubernetes, serverless, and common off-the-shelf enterprise systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
Hands-on experience with at least one mainstream programming language (such as Java, .NET, NodeJS or similar).
AWS, Azure, GCP certifications are a plus.
Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing market needs.
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Willingness to travel up to 25 per cent, primarily within ANZ and to global company events, is required.
