Burlington School District is seeking candidates to provide support for students who have experienced trauma and ongoing behavioral challenges in the K-5 learning environment. These individuals will provide support to a variety of students throughout the school day and will be part of the planning/behavioral support staff. Targeted professional development training will be provided.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support students in developing positive behaviors, self-regulation skills, and social-emotional growth.

Implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and apply evidence-based strategies to address individual student needs.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure consistent behavioral supports across settings.

Collect and maintain behavioral data to track progress and inform intervention planning.

Assist with adapting instructional and behavioral tools to enhance the learning environment.

Maintain accurate documentation and perform related duties to support student success.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Must have the ability to pass the Paraeducator/Instructional Aide exam or have completed two years of study at an institute of higher education, or have an Associate of Arts (AA) degree or higher.
- Experience working in an educational setting implementing intensive behavioral intervention programs for students with complex and/or severe behavioral problems.
