Description:  Chess Club Advisor

Requirements and Responsibilities:

• The approximate time listed for this activity does not include the contractual time required of all teachers after school.

• Plan seasonal schedules that are coordinated with other activities and approved by the principal.

• All team rosters must be turned in to the principal for approval prior to public posting and periodic eligibility checks must be performed.

• Work to promote the program and its activities by publicizing schedules and game results.

• Permission slips must be on file prior to tryouts.

• Sponsor’s presence required during all sessions.

• Sponsor presence required with the particpants at all times.

• Report to the principal on all matters of attendance, accidents, eligibility and discipline problems.

• Supervise proper health and safety procedures, including administering emergency first aid.

• Remain on duty supervising students until the building is cleared and students have departed.

Club Advisor pay is $1,654 according to the 2025-2026 CBA rate.
