The Manager, Assurance Services - Private Equity & Commercial will lead engagement teams, oversee client relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality assurance services. This individual will play a key role in managing multiple projects simultaneously, coaching team members, and driving client satisfaction, while contributing to the growth of the practice.
Major Responsibilities
Manage and oversee assurance engagements for Private Equity and Commercial clients, ensuring compliance with RubinBrown Client Service Standards.
Collaborate with partners, clients, and engagement teams, serving as a primary point of contact throughout engagements.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of assurance staff, fostering professional development.
Monitor budgets and engagement performance while identifying opportunities for efficiency and improvement.
Review financial statements, disclosures, and work papers for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and firm policies.
Support practice development by contributing to technical training and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Experience/Background/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA required.
- 5+ years of progressive audit experience, preferably with Private Equity / Business Combinations.
- Strong knowledge of current audit and accounting concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Word.
- Experience with paperless audit platforms (e.g., ProSystems, CaseWare).
- Proven leadership, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage complex client needs and deliver high-quality service.
- Commitment to mentorship, training, and professional development.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Working Conditions
- The typical office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Hybrid model (2-3 days in the office/week).
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout office.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds.
