About the Department
We're looking for enthusiastic and certified fitness instructors to lead a variety of group classes including Zumba, Yoga, Barre, Boot Camp, HIIT Circuit, Kickboxing, Low-Impact Aerobics, Step, and more. If you have experience in other formats, we’d love to hear from you!

Current Needs
We are especially seeking instructors certified in:
- Zumba
- Yoga
- MOSSA
- Silver Sneakers
- SAIL (Staying Active & Independent for Life)
Class Schedule
Classes are offered:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Monday–Thursday evenings: 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Saturday mornings: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Your schedule will be coordinated with the Fitness Coordinator.
Position Duties
Our Fitness Instructor will:
- Lead safe, engaging, and effective group fitness classes.
- Demonstrate proper exercise techniques and provide form corrections.
- Encourage and support participants in achieving their fitness goals.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive team culture.
- Instruct in-person, virtual (via Zoom), or hybrid classes (training and equipment provided).
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including mask requirements as needed.
- Ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized after use.
Working Conditions & Physical Activities
Work will be conducted in a community center fitness program setting. The environment could be noisy with a lot of activity coming and going. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, run, and lift.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Maintain current CPR certification/obtain CPR Certification prior to start date.
- Must have a Fitness Instructor Certification (may vary) or MOSSA Certification.
- Ability to pass a background check.
