Material Handler – Lancaster Plant

 

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Pay: $19.45/hour
  • 2^nd Shift Differential: Additional $0.55/hour ($20.00/hour)
  • 3^rd Shift Differential: Additional $0.65/hour ($20.10/hour)
• Incentives:
  • $1,000 perfect attendance bonus after 60 days of employment
  • Union Bonuses (once a member of the United Steelworkers):
    • $150 monthly attendance bonus
    • $75 quarterly safety bonus
• Schedule:
  • 8-hour rotating shifts: 
    • Rotation: 6-2 (staying on assigned shift)
  • Shift Options:
    • 1^st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • 2^nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
    • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Overtime: Paid at 1.5x for hours over 40 per week (Sunday 1.5x)
• Benefits Eligibility: Full benefits available after 30 days of employment (healthcare, dental vision, etc.)

 

Work Description

• Transport all materials, products, equipment, waste, etc. through the facility formers. 
• Use proper and instructed driving techniques to maintain pallet load integrity.
• Maintain accurate quantity and location records.
• Scan or input proper control locations of pallets of ware or materials to maintain inventory validity and integrity
• Perform load and unloading operations
• Fill out reports daily on equipment status and condition, recognize equipment problems
• Operate stretch wrap machines
• Perform safety and operating checks on equipment being used.
• Repair pallets
• Maintain quality housekeeping and good safety practices in your area. 
• Do other work assigned by supervision. 

 

Machines & Equipment

• Forklifts, pickers, pallets, dock pans, terminals, stretch wrap machines and similar equipment or machines.
• Bug-tow tracker, broom, shovel, and sledge

 

Gauges & Tools

• Miscellaneous small hand tools and equipment, calculators, two-way radio, printers and RF Scanners

 

Products or Materials

• Palletized cartons and glassware, loads of miscellaneous materials and similar or equivalent products and materials.

 

Work Guides and Instructions

• General verbal and written instructions.

 

Quality Requirements

• Transport pallet loads of ware and material to designated areas throughout the facility withoutdamage. 
• Maintain quality awareness and accurate reporting. 

 

6-2 rotation; 6 days working - 2 days off.

You will stay on your assigned shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
