Position Overview

The Operations Coordinator supports the functions of the Butler Arts & Events Center including but not limited to guest housing operations and campus operations.

The Operations Coordinator reports to the Associate Director - Enterprise Operations and works closely with the Associate Director - Operations as well as the Business Manager.

Responsibilities 

  • Monitors daily requests for space and responds to campus space reservation questions
  • Serves as the primary contact for guests using Butler’s guest housing
  • Assist the operations of summer conference season
  • Support the Associate Director - Enterprise Operations with campus booking logistics
  • Monitor event and enterprise billing to ensure timely payment

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years’ experience in event management, hospitality
  • Demonstrated pattern of flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Communication skills across diverse constituencies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EMS or similar event management platforms
  • Understanding of division practice and policies
  • Understanding of Butler campus space logistics and usage
