Career Summary: 

 

The American Nurses Enterprise (ANE) is seeking to hire a dedicated and high-performing Senior Data Scientist.  

 

As Senior Data Scientist, you will partner with business and operational leaders to provide an impact by leveraging data and analytical tools, strategic thinking, and hypothesis-based analysis on machine learning (ML)-based projects. You will be responsible for modeling complex business problems through statistical, algorithmic, mining, and visualization techniques. Further, you will support senior leadership by creating business insights, reports, and analyses to aid in the decision-making process.

What You Will Do:

  • Translate business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support decisions and workflows with required information
  • Performs large-scale experimentation and builds data-driven models to answer business questions
  • Proactively mines data Lakehouse to identify trends and patterns and generates insights for business units and senior leadership
  • Performs large-scale experimentation to identify hidden relationships between variables in large datasets
  • Research and implement cutting-edge techniques and tools in machine learning/deep learning/artificial intelligence to make data analysis more efficient
  • Applies statistical analysis and visualization techniques to various data, such as hierarchical clustering, T-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding (t-SNE), or principal components analysis (PCA) and machine learning
  • Designs and conducts data analyses with high standards of rigor and scientific accuracy; this includes study design, methodology, algorithms, and statistical modeling

 

What you bring to the American Nurses Enterprise:

Education 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, data science, statistics, or a related field. Candidates will ideally have a specialization in ML or AI analyses.

 

Related Work Experience

  • At least 6-8 years of relevant project experience in successfully launching, planning, and executing data science projects, including statistical analysis, data engineering, and data visualization
  • Proven experience in conducting statistical analysis and building models with advanced scripting languages
  • Experience leading projects that apply ML and data science techniques to business functions
  • Experience in text analytics, graph analysis, AI and ML techniques, such as deep learning, is preferred

 

Skills 

  • Fluency in multiple programming languages and statistical analysis tools such as Python, C++, JavaScript, R, Excel, SQL, MATLAB
  • Knowledge of distributed data/computing tools such as MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, or Kafka
  • Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques such as generalized linear model (GLM)/regression, random forest, boosting, trees, text mining, hierarchical clustering, deep learning, convolutional neural network (CNN), recurrent neural network (RNN)
  • Strong understanding of AI, its potential roles in solving business problems, and the future trajectory of generative AI models
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
  • Ability to communicate complex projects, models, and results to a diverse audience with a wide range of understanding
  • Ability to work in diverse, cross-functional teams in a dynamic business environment
  • Superior presentation skills, including storytelling and other techniques to guide and inspire

Work Schedule:
