Our clinical team is seeking a full-time OB Lead Nurse at our Prenatal Clinic located at 316 Chandler Avenue.

JOB SUMMARY
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the nursing care and general nursing functions required by
ECHC’s patients during clinic visits. Provides age specific and health prevention nursing care and treatment
services as ordered by the Physician and Nurse Practitioner to patients served by the clinic. Works closely
with the Providers and the Site Manager to evaluate patient satisfaction and outcomes of care and to
provide coordination of services within an integrated health care delivery system.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; Diploma or Associate degree accepted if applicant has extensive experience and background.
- Current CPR certification
- 2 years of acute nursing experience and one year of ambulatory or clinic experience preferred.
- Ability to run Windows based programs and do basic word processing and data collections.

- Active Listening – Ability to understand and identify a patient’s needs by listening carefully, concentrating, asking the right questions, and summarizing to engage and establish trust with patients.
- Critical Thinking – Ability to analyze information gathered from unbiased observation and communication. Ability to objectively evaluate each case by collecting information through observation, interviews and research in order to identify the best resources and formulate the best plan to help patients.
- Empathy – Ability to identify and understand another person’s experience and/or point of view.
- Culture Competence – Ability to effectively work with patients from diverse backgrounds. Be respectful and responsive to cultural beliefs and practices. Possess a non-judgmental attitude and an appreciation for diversity and the value of individual differences in order to provide patients with what they need.
- Clinical Judgement – Ability to accurately assess and arrive at a conclusion based on objective and subjective information
- Teamwork – Ability to understand each other’s job role, responsibilities, and level of accountability within the department and at the organizational level. This knowledge provides the essential framework needed to promote a cohesive teamwork approach to care.
- Tolerance – Ability to handle difficult or confrontational situations in a calm, consistent, and equitable manner.
